The Submission of Manuscripts by Authors

Abstract

Articles for publication should be sent to the Chairman, Editorial Board, Nigerian Law and Practice Journal, Nigerian Law School, Bwari, P.M.B. 170, Garki, Abuja.

In submitting manuscripts for publication it would be helpful if authors could observe the following suggestions:

(i)      Contributions should be typed on paper of uniform size on one side of the paper, double spaced and with a left-hand margin of at least 1 1/2 inches.

(ii)     The author's name (and those of any co-authors), qualifications and address(es) should appear on a separate sheet, together with the title of the article and a note of the total number of words.

(iii)    Footnotes should be typed on separate sheets in the same manner as the text, and indicated by Arabic numerals.

(iv)    Internal cross referencing to another page in an article can lead to difficulties since the page to which reference is made is not known until the article is set in page proof. It is more helpful if the cross referencing is to footnotes. This can be achieved by making the cross reference to footnote number(s) and adding the words 'and associated text'.

Corrections and amendments of contribution at proof stage are very expensive. Authors are asked to make sure their typescript is carefully checked and finalised particularly with regard to internal cross referencing and the citation of references. Afterthoughts cannot be incorporated on proofs.
