Abstract

Introduction

In this article, I shall examine some of the issues concerning the discipline of legal practitioners in Nigeria. These issues are the types of disciplinary action a legal practitioner may face in Nigeria and the machinery thereof. Three are identified for present purposes, namely, discipline under the Legal Practitioners Act, discipline for contempt of court, and discipline by the Nigerian Bar Association.
