THE PHENOMENON OF CHILD SOLDIERING: EXAMINING THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK FOR ITS REGULATION
Abstract
This paper focuses on the phenomenon of child soldiering by examining the legal framework for its regulation. It discusses briefly the origin, causes and effect of child soldiering and evaluates several measures identified which can minimize the use of children as soldiers. The paper concludes with the hope that the intensification of efforts by international organizations and cooperation of all concerned, the problem will be minimized.
